# $GVDT - Governance Token $GVDT is GOV.DAO´s governance token. $GVDT is a fungible ERC-20 token minted and issued on the Polygon network. The reason for selecting Polygon as $GVDT´s native network is because of its association with the non-fungible token ("NFT") domain name - GOV.DAO (minted on Polygon). $GVDT is coded to represent and facilitate: * Members' interests in GOV.DAO; * Governance rights in GOV.DAO; and * Participation rights in rewards generated by GOV.DAO´s activities. GOV.DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization ("DAO LLC") legally structured as a for profit DAO limited liability corporation ("DAO LLC"). GOV.DAO LLC is domiciled in the Marshall Islands. $GVDT holders are members of GOV.DAO. By owning $GVDT, members can participate in decision making processes ("Governance") related to GOV.DAO´s mission, direction, operation and development. Members are responsible for both the continuity and sustainability of GOV.DAO´s mission. Members will be rewarded for their participation in GOV.DAO´s mission to "Build Better Governance".
